Maybe
you just want to retire and enjoy the fruits of your years
of labor
and you discover that there is no one
in the company that can or will buy you out. No one has
the bucks and you're left holding the bag, hoping a white
knight in shining armour will ride into town and save
the day. Good luck.
It
could be your very own partner/shareholders who hold you
up. Sure you've got an agreement, but never got around
to finding a way to fund it. So, you're stuck. Again,
rather than sitting under a palm tree sipping on a cool
one from a coconut, you're left cooling your heels right
where you are
waiting for the improbable. Maybe
the impossible. Gee, it could be as simple as getting
ripped off by the very group benefits plan you have in
place for the welfare of your employees. It happens every
day and no one raises a finger to fix the simple problem
until it's to late.
You
know, I've discovered that it could even be that if you
were "converted into an angel" overnight that
your family might have to sell your business at fire sale
prices just to have enough money to pay Revenue Canada
oops I mean Canada Customs and Revenue Agency
I'll never get used to that, sorry. It's not enough ...
you're dead, now they're going to pull the rug out from
under you.
I
thought there had to be a better way and you know what?
